TERMS & POLICIES
The property is let fully furnished and equipped. The basic cost includes electricity, hot water, gas for cooking, and WiFi. The laundry and cleaning charge includes provision of bedlinen, towels, bathmats, tea towels, and includes a clean of the property between bookings. Beds will be prepared with bedlinen - and towels - for the number of guests indicated in your enquiry.
Reservations must be confirmed in writing - by email; via booking website. The specified deposit (50% + service fee) should be paid at the same time. This confirms your booking. The balance of fees, together with a refundable deposit of £100 against breakages, is due six full weeks before the start of your holiday. If a booking is made six weeks or less before the date of the period of the rental, the full hire charge will be required at the time of booking.
Cancellation Cancellation is only effective when written confirmation is received of your wish to cancel. Holidaymakers who cancel at least 30 days before check-in will get back 100% of the amount they've paid. For cancellations between 14 and 30 days before check-in, 50% will be refunded. No refunds for cancellations after this time.
Directions On receipt of the full hire charge, you will be sent directions to the property, and the code for the key safe, located near the upper entrance. On departure, the key must be returned to the same place you found it. After your departure, your breakages deposit will be returned to you following satisfactory inspection of property by our agents.
Arrival & departure You are asked to arrive not earlier than 4:00pm on Saturday and to leave before 10:00am on the day of your departure. Failure to observe this can prevent cleaning and preparation arrangements for change overs.
Insurance It is strongly recommended that guests take out suitable holiday insurance to cover any cancellations as well as the usual range of risks and losses. The owners of Molino Meocci cannot accept any liability for any losses or damages to guests’ property or for any personal injury incurred during the period of rental.
Breakages & damages Guests are responsible for leaving the property with all its furniture and effects in good condition, and to undertake to inform the owners or their agents of any damage to the property or its contents, and to pay for any damaged or missing items or for any extra cleaning due to the property being left in an unclean condition. The house will have been cleaned before your arrival. Guests are requested to leave the premises in a clean and tidy condition before their departure.
Acceptance of booking conditions The payment of fees for the stay - and therefore the booking itself - implies acquaintance with these conditions and comprises their acceptance without reservation or exception
Internet and Phone Free WIFi is available in the house. There is no telephone landline at the property. Mobile phone signals can usually be obtained in or near the house; however, signal strength is not dependable.
Utilities Heating: There is no central heating, however both of the living rooms have a wood-burning stove. A supply of firewood is available in the woodstore, for you to carry to the stoves using baskets provided. For winter stays, the cost of firewood will be subject to negotiation. Cooling: There is no air-conditioning. Electric fans are provided for use in bedrooms during summer months.
Hot Water: the cost of hot water is included in the rental. An electrically heated hot water storage cylinder supplies the upper level, and another supplies the lower level. Water cylinders need to reheat once emptied.
Electricity: In Italy, the cost of electricity is particularly high. We would ask guests to be mindful of this, and of the environment: to use electricity as necessary, then remember to switch off fans, lights etc when not required.
Please note The location is home to the usual flora and fauna. The house contains some steep steps and is set into a hillside close to steep drops. Small children will need supervision at all times.
