Molino Meocci

GETTING THERE

By air there is a wide choice of airports, including Pisa, Rome, Milan, Florence, Ancona, Rimini, Venice, and Bologna (Forli), which is the nearest. Comfortable car journey time will be between 2 and 4 hours, depending where you fly to.

Pisa has a main line train connection at the airport, with frequent trains to Arezzo (via Florence).

Car hire can be arranged from all these airports – it is advisable to arrange car hire in advance from the smaller airports, where the concessions operate restricted hours.

The nearest main line train station is Arezzo, which has connections to most airport cities. There is one car hire concession just opposite the station (Avis) and Hertz is elsewhere in the city.

Regular buses connect Arezzo with Sansepolcro, San Giustino, Citta di Castello and other local towns.

From Sansepolcro a local train line runs through San Giustino to Perugia, where the main line train connections can be taken to the rest of Italy.

Taxis are not readily available, so car transport is advisable unless you are a keen walker or cyclist.
